NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene acts as a transcriptional coactivator for steroid and nuclear hormone receptors. It is a member of the p160/steroid receptor coactivator (SRC) family and like other family members has histone acetyltransferase activity and contains a nuclear localization signal, as well as bHLH and PAS domains. The product of this gene binds nuclear receptors directly and stimulates the transcriptional activities in a hormone-dependent fashion. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
SRC-1: a transcriptional coactivator for steroid and nuclear hormone receptors. A member of the p160/steroid receptor coactivator (SRC) family and like other family members has histone acetyltransferase activity and contains a nuclear localization signal, and bHLH and PAS domains. Phosphorylated and activated via the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway. Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The SRC1 ncoa1 (Catalog #AAA6351078) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SRC1, ID (NCOA1, BHLHE74, SRC1, Nuclear receptor coactivator 1, Class E basic helix-loop-helix protein 74, Protein Hin-2, RIP160, Renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-52, Steroid receptor coactivator 1) (MaxLight 650) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SRC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SRC1 ncoa1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SRC1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
