NCBI Description

SNRK is a member of the sucrose nonfermenting (SNF)-related kinase family of serine/threonine kinases (Kertesz et al., 2002 [PubMed 12234663]).[supplied by OMIM, Apr 2009]

Uniprot Description

Function: May play a role in hematopoietic cell proliferation or differentiation. Potential mediator of neuronal apoptosis. Ref.1 Ref.2

Catalytic activity: ATP + a protein = ADP + a phosphoprotein.

Cofactor: Magnesium.

Enzyme regulation: Activated by phosphorylation on Thr-173. Ref.2

Subcellular location: Nucleus

By similarity.

Tissue specificity: Expressed in hematopoietic progenitor cells and leukemic cell lines. Weakly expressed in the testis. Ref.1 Ref.10

Post-translational modification: Autophosphorylated. Phosphorylation on Thr-173 by STK11/LKB1 in complex with STE20-related adapter-alpha (STRADA) pseudo kinase and CAB39. Ref.1 Ref.2

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family.Contains 1 protein kinase domain.Contains 1 UBA domain.

Sequence caution: The sequence BAA07744.2 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. The sequence CAH18415.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation.

Product Notes

The SNRK snrk (Catalog #AAA649412) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SNRK, ID (SNRK, KIAA0096, SNFRK, SNF-related serine/threonine-protein kinase, SNF1-related kinase) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SNRK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western blotting 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SNRK snrk for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SNRK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
