Reactivity
Mouse
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of MANalpha. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between MANalpha and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between MANalpha and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Reactivity Note
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between this antigen and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Principle of the Assay: MANalpha ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-MANalpha antibody and an MANalpha-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with MANalpha-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the MANalpha concentration since MANalpha from samples and MANalpha-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-MANalpha antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by MANalpha from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind MANalpha-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The MANalpha concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Product Notes
The Mouse MAN2B1 man2b1 (Catalog #AAA247352) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA247352 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse MAN2B1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "alpha-Mannosidase, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
