Rabbit SLC1A4 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-SLC1A4 antibody
Anti-SLC1A4 antibody
Background: Neutral amino acid transporter A, also called SLC1A4 or ASCT1, is a protein that in humans is encodes by the SLC1A4 gene. The SLC1A4 gene is mapped to chromosome 2p14 based on an alignment of the SLC1A4 sequence with the genomic sequence(GRCh37). ASCT1 does not transport glutamate or aspartate but alanine, serine, cysteine, and threonine instead. It is found that the ASCT1 transporter functions primarily as an amino acid exchanger. Transport is associated with a chloride channel activity that is thermodynamically uncoupled from animo acid transport. This gene also exhibits sodium dependence.

Uniprot Description
SLC1A4: Transporter for alanine, serine, cysteine, and threonine. Exhibits sodium dependence. Expressed mostly in brain, muscle, and pancreas but detected in all tissues examined. Belongs to the sodium:dicarboxylate (SDF) symporter (TC 2.A.23) family. SLC1A4 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

The SLC1A4 slc1a4 (Catalog #AAA176881) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-SLC1A4 antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SLC1A4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SLC1A4 slc1a4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SLC1A4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
