Uniprot Description

SIT: a low molecular weight transmembrane adaptor protein. A disulfide-linked homodimer. Expressed in lymphocytes. Following phosphorylation by Src and possibly Tec kinases, recruits the SH2 domain-containing tyrosine phosphatase SHP2 via an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibition motif (ITIM).

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9p13-p12

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; SH2 domain binding; kinase binding

Biological Process: immune system process; signal transduction; regulation of T cell activation

Product Notes

The SIT1 sit1 (Catalog #AAA9203902) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 161-189. The SIT1 Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human Predicted Reactivity: Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SIT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SIT1 sit1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SIT1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
