Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

(IHC image of MBS7110267 diluted at 1:500 and staining in paraffin-embedded human lymph node tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4 degree C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.)

Immunofluorescence (IF)

(Immunofluorescence staining of Hela cells with MBS7110267 at 1:166, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4 degree C.The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).)

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a transmembrane adaptor protein that is expressed in antigen-presenting cells and is localized in the immunologic synapse. The encoded protein is involved in major histocompatibility complex class II signal transduction and immune synapse formation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2012]

Uniprot Description

Lipid tetraspanin-associated transmembrane adapter/mediator involved in major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II signaling transduction. Required in generating the calcium response and enhancing ERK activity upon MHC-II stimulation.

Product Notes

The SCIMP scimp (Catalog #AAA7110267) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SCIMP Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SCIMP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC: 1:500-1:1000 IF: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SCIMP scimp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SCIMP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
