Uniprot Description

SARM1: Involved in innate immnune response. Acts as a negative regulator of TICAM1/TRIF-dependent Toll-like receptor signaling by inhibiting induction of TLR3- and TLR4-dependent genes. Specifically blocks TICAM1/TRIF-dependent transcription-factor activation and gene induction, without affecting the MYD88- dependent pathway or non-TLR signaling. Negative regulator of NF- kappa-B and IRF activation. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q11

Cellular Component: microtubule; mitochondrion; axon; cytoplasm; dendrite; extrinsic to mitochondrial outer membrane; synapse; cytosol; cell junction

Biological Process: regulation of apoptosis; MyD88-independent toll-like receptor signaling pathway; regulation of dendrite morphogenesis; response to glucose stimulus; toll-like receptor signaling pathway; innate immune response; toll-like receptor 3 signaling pathway; toll-like receptor 4 signaling pathway

Product Notes

The SARM1 sarm1 (Catalog #AAA611757) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SARM1 (Sterile alpha and TIR motif containing 1) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SARM1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 2ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SARM1 sarm1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SARM1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
