NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Associated with ribosomes but is not required for canonical ribosome function and has extra-ribosomal functions (). Component of the GAIT (gamma interferon-activated inhibitor of translation) complex which mediates interferon-gamma-induced transcript-selective translation inhibition in inflammation processes. Upon interferon-gamma activation and subsequent phosphorylation dissociates from the ribosome and assembles into the GAIT complex which binds to stem loop-containing GAIT elements in the 3'-UTR of diverse inflammatory mRNAs (such as ceruplasmin) and suppresses their translation. In the GAIT complex interacts with m7G cap-bound eIF4G at or near the eIF3-binding site and blocks the recruitment of the 43S ribosomal complex.

Product Notes
The Rpl13a rpl13a (Catalog #AAA6343359) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rpl13a, NT (Rpl13a, P198, Tstap198-7, 60S ribosomal protein L13a, Transplantation antigen P198, Tum-P198 antigen) (APC) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Rpl13a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Rpl13a rpl13a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rpl13a, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
