Overview: Receptor tyrosine kinase-like Orphan Receptor (ROR) proteins are conserved tyrosine kinase receptors that pattern tissues and organs during embryonic development and in adulthood. ROR family proteins are ligand-dependent transcription factors that are required for skeleton and neuronal development, and modulate cell migration, cell polarity, and convergent extension. RORs act as Wnt receptors signaling via novel non-canonical Wnt pathways mediated by the adapter protein disheveled and the non-receptor tyrosine kinase Src(1). The mammalian ROR family of receptor tyrosine kinases consists of two structurally related proteins.
MBS544741 is an orphan cell surface receptor with strong homology to the tyrosine kinase domain of growth factorreceptors, in particular the Trk family. MBS544741 is expressed by many tissues during embryogenesis, some 8-cell malignancies, and various cancer cell lines with high levels of phosphorylated AKT and phosphorylated cAMP response element binding-factor. MBS544741 plays a functional role in promoting tumor cell growth, suggesting that this orphan-receptor tyrosine-kinase-like protein may be a potential target for therapy directed against a variety of human cancers (2). High-level expression of MBS544741 is found in breast adenocarcinoma associated with aggressive disease indicating it to be a potential target for breast cancer therapy (3). The MBS544741 gene is mapped to chromosome 1 p12-p32
MBS544741 -selective antibodies were generated against a peptide taken the C-terminal region of the MBS544741 protein. TheMBS544741 -selective antibodies are affinity purified on an immobilized antigen based affinity matrix, the isolated antibodies were then stabilized in antibody stabilization buffer for long-term storage.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor that modulates neurite growth in the central nervous system. The encoded protein is a glycosylated type I membrane protein that belongs to the ROR subfamily of cell surface receptors. It is a pseudokinase that lacks catalytic activity and may interact with the non-canonical Wnt signalling pathway. This gene is highly expressed during early embryonic development but expressed at very low levels in adult tissues. Increased expression of this gene is associated with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Uniprot Description
ROR1: Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor whose role is not yet clear. Expressed strongly in human heart, lung and kidney, but weakly in the CNS. Isoform Short is strongly expressed in fetal and adult CNS and in a variety of human cancers, including those originating from CNS or PNS neuroectoderm. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. ROR subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

The ROR1 ror1 (Catalog #AAA544741) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal Anti-ROR1 antibody BIOTIN reacts with Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ROR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Dot Blot: 1:10,000 ELISA: 1:10,000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:200 Western Blot: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ROR1 ror1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ROR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
