Applicable Applications for anti-TRIM39 antibody
Peptide ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 49kDa band in Human Testis and Rat Testis lysates after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 56.4kDa according to NP_NP_742013.1 and of 59.7kDa according to NP_067076.2. The 49kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence C-NAAPLTIRPPTDWE, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_067076.2; NP_742013.1.
Epitope
C Terminus
Note
This antibody is expected to recognise both reported isoforms (NP_067076.2 and NP_742013.1).
Preparation and Storage
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The function of this protein has not been identified. This gene lies within the major histocompatibility complex class I region on chromosome 6. Alternate splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

TRIM39: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. May facilitate apoptosis by inhibiting APC/C-Cdh1-mediated poly-ubiquitination and subsequent proteasome-mediated degradation of the pro-apoptotic protein MOAP1. Belongs to the TRIM/RBCC family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Ubiquitin conjugating system

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6p21.3

Cellular Component: cytosol; mitochondrion

Molecular Function: identical protein binding; ligase activity; protein binding; zinc ion binding

Biological Process: apoptosis; protein ubiquitination

Product Notes

The TRIM39 trim39 (Catalog #AAA421465) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-RNF23/TRIM39 Antibody reacts with Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Pig and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RNF23/TRIM39 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRIM39 trim39 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: NAAPLTIRPP TDWE. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RNF23/TRIM39, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
