Related Product Information for anti-AT2G01720 antibody
Ribophorins 1 and 2 are abundant and highly conserved glycoproteins residing in the endoplasic reticulum, that participate in ribosome binding. Mammalian oligosaccharyltransferase activity is associated with a protein complex composed of RPN1, RPN2, and an oligosaccharyltransferase protein. RPN1 is a component of the proteasome base. The ubiquitin-like (UBL) domain of recombinant Rad23 interacts with proteasomes through the leucine-rich repeat domain of RPN1. The RPN1 gene maps to chromosome 3 in somatic cell hybrids, and the RPN2 gene maps to chromosome 20 by in situ hybridization.

Uniprot Description

Function: Essential subunit of the N-oligosaccharyl transferase (OST) complex which catalyzes the transfer of a high mannose oligosaccharide from a lipid-linked oligosaccharide donor to an asparagine residue within an Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif in nascent polypeptide chains

By similarity.

Catalytic activity: Dolichyl diphosphooligosaccharide + [protein]-L-asparagine = dolichyl diphosphate + a glycoprotein with the oligosaccharide chain attached by N-beta-D-glycosyl linkage to a protein L-asparagine.

Pathway: Protein modification; protein glycosylation.

Subunit structure: Component of the oligosaccharyltransferase (OST) complex

By similarity.

Subcellular location: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein

By similarity.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the OST1 family.

Product Notes

The AT2G01720 ost1b (Catalog #AAA627995) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ribophorin, CT (Dolichyl-diphosphooligosaccharide-Protein Glycosyltransferase 67kD Subunit, Dolichyl-diphosphooligosaccharide-Protein Glycosyltransferase Subunit 1, Ribophorin I, Ribophorin-1, RPN-I, RPN1) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ribophorin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AT2G01720 ost1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ribophorin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
