Related Product Information for anti-RHEB antibody
This gene is a member of the small GTPase superfamily and encodes a lipid-anchored, cell membrane protein with five repeats of the RAS-related GTP-binding region. This protein is vital in regulation of growth and cell cycle progression due to its role in the insulin/TOR/S6K signaling pathway. The protein has GTPase activity and shuttles between a GDP-bound form and a GTP-bound form, and farnesylation of the protein is required for this activity. Three pseudogenes have been mapped, two on chromosome 10 and one on chromosome 22.

Uniprot Description

RHEB: Stimulates the phosphorylation of S6K1 and EIF4EBP1 through activation of mTORC1 signaling. Activates the protein kinase activity of mTORC1. Has low intrinsic GTPase activity. Binds to mTORC1 in a guanyl nucleotide-independent manner. Interacts directly with MTOR, MLST8 and RPTOR. Interacts with TSC2. Ubiquitous. Highest levels observed in skeletal and cardiac muscle. Alternates between an inactive form bound to GDP and an active form bound to GTP. Inactivated by TSC1-TSC2 via the GTPase activating protein (GAP) domain of TSC2. Belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. Rheb family.

Protein type: G protein; G protein, monomeric; G protein, monomeric, Rheb

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7q36

Cellular Component: Golgi membrane; spliceosome; endoplasmic reticulum membrane; membrane; cell soma; dendrite; plasma membrane; cytosol

Molecular Function: GTPase activity; protein binding; GDP binding; GTP binding; metal ion binding; protein kinase binding

Product Notes

The RHEB rheb (Catalog #AAA6341879) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RHEB, CT (RHEB, RHEB2, GTP-binding protein Rheb, Ras homolog enriched in brain) (MaxLight 490) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RHEB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RHEB rheb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RHEB, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
