NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Reticulocalbin 1 is a calcium-binding protein located in the lumen of the ER. The protein contains six conserved regions with similarity to a high affinity Ca(+2)-binding motif, the EF-hand. High conservation of amino acid residues outside of these motifs, in comparison to mouse reticulocalbin, is consistent with a possible biochemical function besides that of calcium binding. In human endothelial and prostate cancer cell lines this protein localizes to the plasma membrane.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]
Uniprot Description
RCN1: May regulate calcium-dependent activities in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen or post-ER compartment. Belongs to the CREC family.

Product Notes
The RCN1 rcn1 (Catalog #AAA6341062) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RCN1, CT (RCN1, RCN, Reticulocalbin-1) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RCN1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RCN1 rcn1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RCN1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
