Related Product Information for anti-rbsK antibody
In enzymology, a ribokinase (EC 2.7.1.15) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction nATP + D-ribose ADP + D-ribose 5-phosphate.Thus, the two substrates of this enzyme are ATP and D-ribose, whereas its two products are ADP and D-ribose 5-phosphate.This enzyme belongs to the family of transferases, specifically those transferring phosphorus-containing groups (phosphotransferases) with an alcohol group as acceptor. The systematic name of this enzyme class is ATP:D-ribose 5-phosphotransferase. Other names in common use include deoxyribokinase, ribokinase (phosphorylating), and D-ribokinase. This enzyme participates in pentose phosphate pathway.

Uniprot Description

Catalyzes the phosphorylation of ribose at O-5 in a reaction requiring ATP and magnesium. The resulting D-ribose-5-phosphate can then be used either for sythesis of nucleotides, histidine, and tryptophan, or as a component of the pentose phosphate pathway.

Product Notes

The rbsK rbsk (Catalog #AAA9415495) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The rbsK Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Escherichia coli and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's rbsK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 1:500 - 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the rbsK rbsk for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "rbsK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
