RABBIT ANTI YEAST RAD9

Applications
ELISA, Western Blot
Synonyms
RAD9; Polyclonal Antibody; RABBIT ANTI YEAST RAD9; anti-RAD9 antibody

For Research Use Only!
Host
Rabbit
Clonality
Polyclonal
Isotype
IgG
Specificity
This item detects Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad9, a protein involved in the DNA damage checkpoint. In S. cerevisiae this checkpoint is mainly controlled by the PI(3) kinase-like kinase (PIKK) Mec1, which is activated in response to DNA damage. Activated Mec1 hyperphosphorylates Rad9, which in turn triggers the binding of Rad53, the orthologue of mammalian Chk2. Activated Rad53 specifically targets substrates required for cell cycle arrest, gene expression and efficient DNA repair. Mutations affecting Rad9 impair checkpoint induced cell-cycle arrest and increase genomic instability.

This antibody is pan reactive with both the phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms of this protein.

Yeast
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Product Notes

The RAD9 rad9 (Catalog #AAA222775) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's RAD9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 60kDa. ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 1/2000; Maximum Dilution: 1/4000 Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 1/50; Maximum Dilution: 1/250. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RAD9 rad9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RAD9, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
