Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse Rac1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-Rac1 antibody
Rac1 (Ras-related C3 Botulinum Toxin Substrate 1, Cell Migration-inducing Gene 5 Protein, MGC111543, MIG5, p21-Rac1, Ras-like Protein TC25, TC25, TC-25, MIG5) (AP)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot Analysis: HeLa and MCF7 cell lysates (lanes 1 and 2, respectively) were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF and probed with anti-Rac1b (1:1,000) (1ug/mL). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates Rac1b.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Immunofluorescence Staining: HeLa cells were fixed with 3.7% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with non-ionic detergent. Rac1b antibody was used at 1:50 (Yellow). It is visualized using donkey and Rb-IgG Cy3 conjugate. The cells are dual stained with DAPI (Blue). 40X Magnification.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase which belongs to the RAS superfamily of small GTP-binding proteins. Members of this superfamily appear to regulate a diverse array of cellular events, including the control of cell growth, cytoskeletal reorganization, and the activation of protein kinases. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
Uniprot Description
RAC1: a plasma membrane-associated member of the Rho-GTPase family. Plays a key role in cytoskeletal reorganization, membrane trafficking, transcriptional regulation and cell growth and development. GTP binding stimulates its activity. Phosphorylation by Akt may inhibit GTP binding of Rac1, therefore attenuating the downstream signal transduction pathway. Found in a trimeric complex composed of DOCK1 and ELMO1, which plays a central role in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The Rac1 rac1 (Catalog #AAA6444798) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rac1 (Ras-related C3 Botulinum Toxin Substrate 1, Cell Migration-inducing Gene 5 Protein, MGC111543, MIG5, p21-Rac1, Ras-like Protein TC25, TC25, TC-25, MIG5) (AP) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Rac1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Rac1 rac1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rac1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
