NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein belonging to the RAB family of proteins, which are small GTPases involved in protein transport. This family member is a Golgi-bound member of the secretory pathway that is involved in the repositioning of lysosomes and the activation of macropinocytosis. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. This gene overlaps and shares exon structure with the nine-amino acid residue-repeats (NARR) gene, which encodes a functionally distinct nucleolar protein from a different reading frame. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The RAB34 rab34 (Catalog #AAA711098) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti-human RAB34, member RAS oncogene family polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RAB34, member RAS oncogene family can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RAB34 rab34 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RAB34, member RAS oncogene family, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
