Related Product Information for anti-PSME1 antibody
The 26S proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex with a highly ordered structure composed of 2 complexes, a 20S core and a 19S regulator. The 20S core is composed of 4 rings of 28 non-identical subunits; 2 rings are composed of 7 alpha subunits and 2 rings are composed of 7 beta subunits. The 19S regulator is composed of a base, which contains 6 ATPase subunits and 2 non-ATPase subunits, and a lid, which contains up to 10 non-ATPase subunits. Proteasomes are distributed throughout eukaryotic cells at a high concentration and cleave peptides in an ATP/ubiquitin-dependent process in a non-lysosomal pathway. An essential function of a modified proteasome, the immunoproteasome, is the processing of class I MHC peptides. The immunoproteasome contains an alternate regulator, referred to as the 11S regulator or PA28, that replaces the 19S regulator. Three subunits (alpha, beta and gamma) of the 11S regulator have been identified. This gene encodes the alpha subunit of the 11S regulator, one of the two 11S subunits that is induced by gamma-interferon. Three alpha and three beta subunits combine to form a heterohexameric ring.

Uniprot Description

PSME1: Implicated in immunoproteasome assembly and required for efficient antigen processing. The PA28 activator complex enhances the generation of class I binding peptides by altering the cleavage pattern of the proteasome. Heterodimer of PSME1 and PSME2, which forms a hexadimeric ring. PSME1 can form homoheptamers. By IFNG/IFN-gamma. Belongs to the PA28 family.

Protein type: Proteasome complex

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q11.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; proteasome complex; proteasome activator complex; cytoplasm; cytosol

Product Notes

The PSME1 psme1 (Catalog #AAA6338341) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PSME1, CT (PSME1, IFI5111, Proteasome activator complex subunit 1, 11S regulator complex subunit alpha, Activator of multicatalytic protease subunit 1, Interferon gamma up-regulated I-5111 protein, Proteasome activator 28 subunit alpha) (Azide free) (HRP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PSME1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PSME1 psme1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PSME1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
