Related Product Information for anti-PSMD2 antibody
PSMD2 (Proteasome 26S Subunit, Non-ATPase 2) is a Protein Coding gene. The PSMD2 gene, located on 3q27.1, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, and rat, etc. This gene encodes one of the non-ATPase subunits of the 19S regulator lid. In addition to participation in proteasome function, this subunit may also participate in the TNF signaling pathway since it interacts with the tumor necrosis factor type 1 receptor. PSMD2 is widely expressed in the testis, brain, and other tissues. Diseases associated with PSMD2 include Chapare Hemorrhagic Fever and Cystic Fibrosis. PSMD2 is a constituent of a signature associated with the acquisition of metastatic phenotype and poor prognosis in lung cancers. The related pathways of PSMD2 are Regulation of activated PAK-2p34 by proteasome-mediated degradation and Antigen processing-Cross presentation.

NCBI Description

The 26S proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex with a highly ordered structure composed of 2 complexes, a 20S core and a 19S regulator. The 20S core is composed of 4 rings of 28 non-identical subunits; 2 rings are composed of 7 alpha subunits and 2 rings are composed of 7 beta subunits. The 19S regulator is composed of a base, which contains 6 ATPase subunits and 2 non-ATPase subunits, and a lid, which contains up to 10 non-ATPase subunits. Proteasomes are distributed throughout eukaryotic cells at a high concentration and cleave peptides in an ATP/ubiquitin-dependent process in a non-lysosomal pathway. An essential function of a modified proteasome, the immunoproteasome, is the processing of class I MHC peptides. This gene encodes one of the non-ATPase subunits of the 19S regulator lid. In addition to participation in proteasome function, this subunit may also participate in the TNF signalling pathway since it interacts with the tumor necrosis factor type 1 receptor. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 1. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

The PSMD2 psmd2 (Catalog #AAA8104031) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PSMD2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human Predicted to React with: Pongo abelii (Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PSMD2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IP: 5-10uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PSMD2 psmd2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PSMD2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
