Related Product Information for anti-POM121 antibody
This gene encodes a transmembrane protein that localizes to the inner nuclear membrane and forms a core component of the nuclear pore complex, which mediates transport to and from the nucleus. The encoded protein may anchor this complex to the nuclear envelope. There are multiple related genes and pseudogenes for this gene on chromosomes 5, 7, 15, and 22. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been observed.

Uniprot Description

POM121: a single-pass membrane protein that is an essential component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC). The repeat-containing domain may be involved in anchoring components of the pore complex to the pore membrane. When overexpressed in cells induces the formation of cytoplasmic annulate lamellae (AL). Stably associated with the NPC throughout interphase and with the endoplasmic reticulum during metaphase. Contains F-X-F-G repeats. Belongs to the POM121 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Nucleoporin

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7q11.23

Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum membrane; nuclear membrane; nuclear envelope; nuclear pore

Biological Process: mRNA transport; viral reproduction; cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; mitotic nuclear envelope disassembly; pathogenesis; glucose transport; viral infectious cycle; protein transport; hexose transport; carbohydrate metabolic process; gene expression; viral transcription; mitotic cell cycle; transmembrane transport

Product Notes

The POM121 pom121 (Catalog #AAA2560765) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The POM121 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's POM121 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). IHC: 1:50-1:300 ELISA: 1:5000-1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the POM121 pom121 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "POM121, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
