Related Product Information for anti-POLL antibody
This gene encodes a DNA polymerase. DNA polymerases catalyze DNA-template-directed extension of the 3'-end of a DNA strand. This particular polymerase, which is a member of the X family of DNA polymerases, likely plays a role in non-homologous end joining and other DNA repair processes.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a DNA polymerase. DNA polymerases catalyze DNA-template-directed extension of the 3'-end of a DNA strand. This particular polymerase, which is a member of the X family of DNA polymerases, likely plays a role in non-homologous end joining and other DNA repair processes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

Uniprot Description

POLL: Repair polymerase. Involved in base excision repair (BER) responsible for repair of lesions that give rise to abasic (AP) sites in DNA. Has both DNA polymerase and terminal transferase activities. Has a 5'-deoxyribose-5-phosphate lyase (dRP lyase) activity. Belongs to the DNA polymerase type-X family.

Protein type: DNA repair, damage; EC 2.7.7.7; Lyase; Transferase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q23

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding; metal ion binding; DNA-directed DNA polymerase activity; lyase activity

Biological Process: nucleotide-excision repair; somatic hypermutation of immunoglobulin genes; DNA replication

Product Notes

The POLL poll (Catalog #AAA6335639) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The POLL, CT (POLL, DNA polymerase lambda, DNA polymerase beta-2, DNA polymerase kappa) (MaxLight 650) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's POLL can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the POLL poll for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "POLL, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
