Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Proteolipid protein 2 (PLP2) is upregulated in several cancers, including breast cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, osteosarcoma, and melanoma. PLP2 specifically binds to phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase to activate the protein kinase B pathway to enhance cell proliferation, adhesion, and invasion in melanoma cells. PLP2, a membrane protein of the endoplasmic reticulum, is related to tumor proliferation and metastasis in some human cancers, but not in gliomas. PLP2 is an integral ion channel membrane protein of the endoplasmic reticulum. The protein is highly expressed in many cancer types. Increased PLP2 expression promotes GBM growth and that PLP2 represents a potential future therapeutic target. PLP2 promotes the metastasis of B16F10 cells in an experimental metastasis model. Downregulation of PLP2 or FAK may improve outcomes of malignant tumor therapy.
