Rabbit anti-Human PIGP Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PIGP antibody
PIGP Antibody (N-term)
glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis. The
GPI-anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells that serves to
anchor proteins to the cell surface. The encoded protein is a
component of the GPI-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase complex that
catalyzes the transfer of N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) from
UDP-GlcNAc to phosphatidylinositol (PI). This gene is located in
the Down Syndrome critical region on chromosome 21 and is a
candidate for the pathogenesis of Down syndrome. Alternatively
spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been
described.

NCBI Description
This gene encodes an enzyme involved in the first step of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis. The GPI-anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells that serves to anchor proteins to the cell surface. The encoded protein is a component of the GPI-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase complex that catalyzes the transfer of N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) from UDP-GlcNAc to phosphatidylinositol (PI). This gene is located in the Down Syndrome critical region on chromosome 21 and is a candidate for the pathogenesis of Down syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The PIGP pigp (Catalog #AAA9204847) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 2-30. The PIGP Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PIGP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PIGP pigp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PIGP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
