Rabbit PIAS4 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PIAS4 antibody
Anti-PIAS4 Antibody
Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg NaN3.
Other applications have not been tested.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of PIAS4 expression in rat testis extract (lane 1), mouse testis extract (lane 2) and HELA whole cell lysates (lane 3). PIAS4 at 57KD was detected using rabbit anti- PIAS4 Antigen Affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 0.5 ug/mL. The blot was developed using chemiluminescence (ECL) method. )
Background: E3 SUMO-protein ligase PIAS4, also known as protein inhibitor of activated STAT protein 4 (PIAS4) or protein inhibitor of activated STAT protein gamma (PIASg or PIASy), is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PIAS4 gene. This gene is mapped to 19p13.3. This gene plays a crucial role as a transcriptional coregulation in various cellular pathways, including the STAT pathway, the p53/TP53 pathway, the Wnt pathway and the steroid hormone signaling pathway. It also functions as an E3-type small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase, stabilizing the interaction between UBE2I and the substrate, and as a SUMO-tethering factor. This gene involved in gene silencing.

Uniprot Description
PIAS4: Functions as an E3-type small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase, stabilizing the interaction between UBE2I and the substrate, and as a SUMO-tethering factor. Plays a crucial role as a transcriptional coregulation in various cellular pathways, including the STAT pathway, the p53 pathway, the Wnt pathway and the steroid hormone signaling pathway. Involved in gene silencing. Promotes PARK7 sumoylation. In Wnt signaling, represses LEF1 and enhances TCF4 transcriptional activities through promoting their sumoylations. Interacts with AR, AXIN1, GATA2, LEF1, TP53 and STAT1 (IFNG-induced). Binds to AT-rich DNA sequences, known as matrix or scaffold attachment regions (MARs/SARs). Interacts with TICAM1. Interacts with KLF8; the interaction results in SUMO ligation and repression of KLF8 transcriptional activity and of its cell cycle progression into G(1) phase. Highly expressed in testis and, at lower levels, in spleen, prostate, ovary, colon and peripheral blood leukocytes. Belongs to the PIAS family.

Product Notes
The PIAS4 pias4 (Catalog #AAA178838) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PIAS4 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PIAS4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PIAS4 pias4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PIAS4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
