Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of hPGK1-G132 in Hela(lane 1), HepG2(lane 2) cell line lysates (35ug/lane). PGK1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of PGK1 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal PGK1 Antibody (G132) . 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the PGK1 gene.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with PGK1 antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of PGK1 Antibody (Center) with Hela cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green).DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate. The encoded protein may also act as a cofactor for polymerase alpha. This gene lies on the X-chromosome, while a related pseudogene also has been found on the X-chromosome and another on chromosome 19. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]
Uniprot Description
Function: In addition to its role as a glycolytic enzyme, it seems that PGK-1 acts as a polymerase alpha cofactor protein (primer recognition protein).
Catalytic activity: ATP + 3-phospho-D-glycerate = ADP + 3-phospho-D-glyceroyl phosphate.
Pathway: Carbohydrate degradation; glycolysis; pyruvate from D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate: step 2/5.
Subunit structure: Monomer.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm.
Involvement in disease: Phosphoglycerate kinase 1 deficiency (PGK1D) [MIM:300653]: A condition with a highly variable clinical phenotype that includes hemolytic anemia, rhabdomyolysis, myopathy and neurologic involvement. Patients can express one or more of these manifestations.Note: The disease is caused by mutations affecting the gene represented in this entry. Ref.25 Ref.26 Ref.27 Ref.28 Ref.29 Ref.30 Ref.33 Ref.34 Ref.35
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the phosphoglycerate kinase family.

The PGK1 pgk1 (Catalog #AAA646750) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PGK1, ID (PGK1, PGKA, Phosphoglycerate kinase 1, Cell migration-inducing gene 10 protein, Primer recognition protein 2) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PGK1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100 Flow cytometry Immunofluorescence: 1:10-50 Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PGK1 pgk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PGK1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
