Rabbit anti-Human PDGFA Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PDGFA antibody
PDGFA, NT (Platelet-derived Growth Factor Subunit A, PDGF Subunit A, Platelet-derived Growth Factor A Chain, Platelet-derived Growth Factor alpha Polypeptide, PDGF-1, PDGF1) (Biotin)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue reacted withMBS6008287, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS6008287 for immunohistochemistry.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the protein family comprised of both platelet-derived growth factors (PDGF) and vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGF). The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate platelet-derived growth factor subunit A, which can homodimerize, or alternatively, heterodimerize with the related platelet-derived growth factor subunit B. These proteins bind and activate PDGF receptor tyrosine kinases, which play a role in a wide range of developmental processes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Uniprot Description
PDGFA: Growth factor that plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. Potent mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin. Required for normal lung alveolar septum formation during embryogenesis, normal development of the gastrointestinal tract, normal development of Leydig cells and spermatogenesis. Required for normal oligodendrocyte development and normal myelination in the spinal cord and cerebellum. Plays an important role in wound healing. Signaling is modulated by the formation of heterodimers with PDGFB. Belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The PDGFA pdgfa (Catalog #AAA6493769) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PDGFA, NT (Platelet-derived Growth Factor Subunit A, PDGF Subunit A, Platelet-derived Growth Factor A Chain, Platelet-derived Growth Factor alpha Polypeptide, PDGF-1, PDGF1) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PDGFA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDGFA pdgfa for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDGFA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
