Related Product Information for anti-PDE1C antibody
This gene encodes an enzyme that belongs to the 3'5'-cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family. Members of this family catalyze hydrolysis of the cyclic nucleotides, cyclic adenosine monophosphate and cyclic guanosine monophosphate, to the corresponding nucleoside 5'-monophosphates. The enzyme encoded by this gene regulates proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells, and neointimal hyperplasia. This enzyme also plays a role in pathological vascular remodeling by regulating the stability of growth factor receptors, such as PDGF-receptor-beta.

NCBI Description

Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) catalyze hydrolysis of the cyclic nucleotides cAMP and cGMP to the corresponding nucleoside 5-prime-monophosphates. Mammalian PDEs have been classified into several families based on their biochemical properties. Members of the PDE1 family, such as PDE1C, are calmodulin (see MIM 114180)-dependent PDEs (CaM-PDEs) that are stimulated by a calcium-calmodulin complex (Repaske et al., 1992 [PubMed 1326532]).[supplied by OMIM, Oct 2009]

Uniprot Description

PDE1C: Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase with a dual- specificity for the second messengers cAMP and cGMP, which are key regulators of many important physiological processes. Has a high affinity for both cAMP and cGMP. Belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family. PDE1 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7p14.3

Cellular Component: cytosol

Molecular Function: calmodulin binding; calmodulin-dependent cyclic-nucleotide phosphodiesterase activity; metal ion binding

Biological Process: epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway; fibroblast growth factor receptor signaling pathway; nerve growth factor receptor signaling pathway; metabolic process; phospholipase C activation; innate immune response; signal transduction

Product Notes

The PDE1C pde1c (Catalog #AAA9432412) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PDE1C Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PDE1C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDE1C pde1c for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDE1C, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
