Applicable Applications for anti-P2RY1 antibody
Peptide ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 128000.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 55kDa and 38kDa in lysates of cell lines HEK293 and A549 after 0.1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 42.1kDa according to NP_002554.1. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the observed sizes).
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence C-KDLDNSPLRRK, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_002554.1.
Epitope
Internal region
Preparation and Storage
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

NCBI Description

The product of this gene belongs to the family of G-protein coupled receptors. This family has several receptor subtypes with different pharmacological selectivity, which overlaps in some cases, for various adenosine and uridine nucleotides. This receptor functions as a receptor for extracellular ATP and ADP. In platelets binding to ADP leads to mobilization of intracellular calcium ions via activation of phospholipase C, a change in platelet shape, and probably to platelet aggregation. Uniprot Description

P2RY1: Receptor for extracellular adenine nucleotides such as ATP and ADP. In platelets binding to ADP leads to mobilization of intracellular calcium ions via activation of phospholipase C, a change in platelet shape, and probably to platelet aggregation. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Product Notes

The P2RY1 p2ry1 (Catalog #AAA420349) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-P2RY1 (aa247-257) Antibody reacts with Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's P2RY1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the P2RY1 p2ry1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: KDLDNSPLRR K. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "P2RY1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
