Related Product Information for anti-NUP35 antibody
Nucleoporin 35kDa (NUP35), also known as NUP 53 or Mitotic phosphoprotein 44 (MP44) is a phosphoprotein and a member of the nucleoporin family. It plays a vital role in the Nuclear Envelope and Nuclear Pore Complex assembly. NUP35 contains two membrane binding regions, is localized to the nuclear rim, and is part of the nuclear pore complex. Nup35 binds specifically to its interacting partner Nup155 and this interaction is critical for proper NPC and NE assembly.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the nucleoporin family. The encoded protein contains two membrane binding regions, is localized to the nuclear rim, and is part of the nuclear pore complex. All molecules entering or leaving the nucleus either diffuse through or are actively transported by the nuclear pore complex. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene have been defined on chromosomes 7 and 10. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]

Uniprot Description

NUP35: Functions as a component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC). NPC components, collectively referred to as nucleoporins (NUPs). Can play the role of both NPC structural components and of docking or interaction partners for transiently associated nuclear transport factors. May play a role in the association of MAD1 with the NPC. Belongs to the Nup53 family.

Product Notes

The NUP35 nup35 (Catalog #AAA668743) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Polyclonal Antibody to NUP35 reacts with Human Predicted: Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NUP35 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1-2 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NUP35 nup35 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NUP35, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
