Related Product Information for anti-NSFL1C antibody
N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor (NSF) and valosin-containing protein (p97) are two ATPases known to be involved in transport vesicle/target membrane fusion and fusions between membrane compartments. A trimer of the protein encoded by this gene binds a hexamer of cytosolic p97 and is required for p97-mediated regrowth of Golgi cisternae from mitotic Golgi fragments. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 8.

Uniprot Description

NSFL1C: Reduces the ATPase activity of VCP. Necessary for the fragmentation of Golgi stacks during mitosis and for VCP-mediated reassembly of Golgi stacks after mitosis. May play a role in VCP- mediated formation of transitional endoplasmic reticulum (tER). Inhibits the activity of CTSL (in vitro). Belongs to the NSFL1C family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Vesicle

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20p13

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; intermediate filament cytoskeleton; Golgi stack; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; chromosome; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; ubiquitin binding; protein phosphatase type 1 regulator activity; lipid binding

Biological Process: proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; regulation of catalytic activity; nuclear envelope reassembly; Golgi organization and biogenesis; autophagic vacuole formation

Product Notes

The NSFL1C nsfl1c (Catalog #AAA9405028) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NSFL1C antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NSFL1C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF). Western blotting: 1:500 - 1:2000 Immunofluorescence: 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NSFL1C nsfl1c for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NSFL1C, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
