NCBI Description

This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription between the neighboring NME1 and NME2 genes. The significance of this read-through transcription and the function of the resulting protein product have not yet been determined. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]

Uniprot Description

NME2: Major role in the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphates other than ATP. Negatively regulates Rho activity by interacting with AKAP13/LBC. Acts as a transcriptional activator of the MYC gene; binds DNA non-specifically (PubMed:8392752). Exhibits histidine protein kinase activity. Belongs to the NDK family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The NM23 nme2 (Catalog #AAA9408433) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NM23 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NM23 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western blotting: 1:500~1:3000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NM23 nme2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NM23, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
