Goat Neuroligin 1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-NLGN1 antibody
Goat anti-Neuroligin 1 Antibody
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 150kDa band in Human Brain lysates after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 92. 0 kDa according to NP_055747.1. The 150kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of a family of neuronal cell surface proteins. Members of this family may act as splice site-specific ligands for beta-neurexins and may be involved in the formation and remodeling of central nervous system synapses. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
NLGN1: Cell surface protein involved in cell-cell-interactions via its interactions with neurexin family members. Plays a role in synapse function and synaptic signal transmission, and probably mediates its effects by recruiting and clustering other synaptic proteins. May promote the initial formation of synapses, but is not essential for this. In vitro, triggers the de novo formation of presynaptic structures. May be involved in specification of excitatory synapses. Belongs to the type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The NLGN1 nlgn1 (Catalog #AAA420638) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-Neuroligin 1 Antibody reacts with Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Cow and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Neuroligin 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 4000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NLGN1 nlgn1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: TAKQDDPKQQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Neuroligin 1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
