Background: Neurexins comprise a family of neuronal cell surface proteins present primarily in the brain. Neurexins are thomught to serve as signaling receptors and may play a role in axon guidance and synaptogenesis. The cytoplasmic tail of neurexin interacts with the synaptic vesicle protein synaptotagmin and binds to CASK, a protein with homology to the PSD95 family of synaptic junction proteins.

Uniprot Description

PDK1: an AGC kinase of the PKB family that contains a PH domain. Involved in a wide variety of processes including cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. Autophosphorylation in the activation loop is necessary for activity. Phosphorylates and activates kinases including Akt, PKC isozymes, p70 S6K and RSK. Three alternatively-spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The Pdpk1 pdpk1 (Catalog #AAA841081) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Neurexin Antibody reacts with Human, Rat, Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Neurexin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western blotting (1:200-1000). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes both alpha (~170 kDa) and beta (~50 kDa) isoforms of Neurexin in samples from human, rat, and bovine origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Pdpk1 pdpk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Neurexin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
