Related Product Information for anti-NCS1 antibody
This gene is a member of the neuronal calcium sensor gene family, which encode calcium-binding proteins expressed predominantly in neurons. The protein encoded by this gene regulates G protein-coupled receptor phosphorylation in a calcium-dependent manner and can substitute for calmodulin. The protein is associated with secretory granules and modulates synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

NCBI Description

This gene is a member of the neuronal calcium sensor gene family, which encode calcium-binding proteins expressed predominantly in neurons. The protein encoded by this gene regulates G protein-coupled receptor phosphorylation in a calcium-dependent manner and can substitute for calmodulin. Uniprot Description

FREQ: Neuronal calcium sensor, regulator of G protein-coupled receptor phosphorylation in a calcium dependent manner. Directly regulates GRK1 (RHOK), but not GRK2 to GRK5. Can substitute for calmodulin. Stimulates PI4KB kinase activity. Involved in long-term synaptic plasticity through its interaction with PICK1. May also play a role in neuron differentiation through inhibition of the activity of N- type voltage-gated calcium channel. Interacts with KCND2. Interacts in a calcium-independent manner with PI4KB. This binding competes with CALN2/CABP7 binding to PI4KB. Interacts with ARF1, ARF3, ARF5 and ARF6. Interacts in a calcium-dependent manner with PICK1 (via AH domain). Interacts with IL1RAPL1. Belongs to the recoverin family.

Product Notes

The NCS1 ncs1 (Catalog #AAA241367) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Mouse NCS1 / NCS-1 reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NCS1 / NCS-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). ELISA, IF, IHC-P (5 ug/ml), WB Usage: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary anti.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NCS1 ncs1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NCS1 / NCS-1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
