Uniprot Description

NAA30: Catalytic subunit of the N-terminal acetyltransferase C (NatC) complex. Catalyzes acetylation of the N-terminal methionine residues of peptides beginning with Met-Leu-Ala and Met-Leu-Gly. Necessary for the lysosomal localization and function of ARL8B. Belongs to the acetyltransferase family. MAK3 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Acetyltransferase; EC 2.3.1.88

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q22.3

Cellular Component: polysome; cytoplasm

Molecular Function: peptide alpha-N-acetyltransferase activity; protein binding

Biological Process: N-terminal protein amino acid acetylation; N-terminal peptidyl-methionine acetylation

Product Notes

The NAT12 naa30 (Catalog #AAA6323901) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NAT12, CT (NAA30, C14orf35, MAK3, NAT12, N-alpha-acetyltransferase 30, N-acetyltransferase 12, N-acetyltransferase MAK3 homolog, NatC catalytic subunit) (PE) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NAT12 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-50 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NAT12 naa30 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NAT12, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
