Rabbit MYST1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-KAT8 antibody
MYST1 antibody - N-terminal region
Target Description: The MYST family of histone acetyltransferases, which includes MYST1, is named for the founding members MOZ (MYST3; MIM 601408), yeast YBF2 and SAS2, and TIP60 (HTATIP; MIM 601409). All members of this family contain a MYST region of about 240 amino acids
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the MYST histone acetylase protein family. The encoded protein has a characteristic MYST domain containing an acetyl-CoA-binding site, a chromodomain typical of proteins which bind histones, and a C2HC-type zinc finger. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]
Uniprot Description
MYST1: Histone acetyltransferase which may be involved in transcriptional activation. May influence the function of ATM. As part of the MSL complex it is involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 producing specifically H4K16ac. As part of the NSL complex it may be involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 on several lysine residues. That activity is less specific than the one of the MSL complex. Belongs to the MYST (SAS/MOZ) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: EC 2.3.1.48; Acetyltransferase

Product Notes
The KAT8 kat8 (Catalog #AAA3209352) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MYST1 antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MYST1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KAT8 kat8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: MAAQGAAAAV AAGTSGVAGE GEPGPGENAA AEGTAPSPGR VSPPTPARGE. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MYST1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
