Related Product Information for anti-MYBBP1A antibody
This gene encodes a nucleolar transcriptional regulator that was first identified by its ability to bind specifically to the Myb proto-oncogene protein. The encoded protein is thought to play a role in many cellular processes including response to nucleolar stress, tumor suppression and synthesis of ribosomal DNA. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

NCBI Description

The enzyme mevalonate pyrophosphate decarboxylase catalyzes the conversion of mevalonate pyrophosphate into isopentenyl pyrophosphate in one of the early steps in cholesterol biosynthesis. It decarboxylates and dehydrates its substrate while hydrolyzing ATP. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

MYBBP1A: may activate or repress transcription via interactions with sequence specific DNA-binding proteins. Repression may be mediated at least in part by histone deacetylase activity (HDAC activity). Binds to and represses JUN and MYB via the leucine zipper regions present in these proteins. Also binds to and represses PGC-1 (PPAR gamma coactivator-1): this interaction is abrogated when PGC-1 is phosphorylated by ERK1. Binds to and stimulates transcription by AhR. Binds to KPNA2. Shuttles between the nucleus and cytoplasm. Nuclear import may be mediated by KPNA2, while export appears to depend partially on exportin 1. Predominantly nucleolar. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Nucleolus; DNA replication; DNA-binding; RNA-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p13.3

AAA Biotech's MYBBP1A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Most Applications. Suggested Dilution: AF350 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF405 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF488 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF555 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF594 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF647 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF680 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF750 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 Biotin conjugated: working with enzyme-conjugated streptavidin, most applications: 1:50-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MYBBP1A mybbp1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MYBBP1A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
