Rabbit anti-Human MRP5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MRP5 antibody
MRP5, ID (Multidrug Resistance-associated Protein 5, ATP-binding Cassette Sub-family C Member 5, Multi-specific Organic Anion Transporter C, MOAT-C, pABC11, SMRP, ABCC5) (FITC)
FLISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of ABCC5 Antibody (Center) in 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ABCC5 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.(2ug/ml))
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue with ABCC5 Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow cytometric analysis of 293 cells using ABCC5 Antibody (Center)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi-drug resistance. This protein functions in the cellular export of its substrate, cyclic nucleotides. This export contributes to the degradation of phosphodiesterases and possibly an elimination pathway for cyclic nucleotides. Studies show that this protein provides resistance to thiopurine anticancer drugs, 6-mercatopurine and thioguanine, and the anti-HIV drug 9-(2-phosphonylmethoxyethyl)adenine. This protein may be involved in resistance to thiopurines in acute lymphoblastic leukemia and antiretroviral nucleoside analogs in HIV-infected patients. Alternative splicing of this gene has been detected; however, the complete sequence and translation initiation site is unclear. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The MRP5 abcc5 (Catalog #AAA6488602) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MRP5, ID (Multidrug Resistance-associated Protein 5, ATP-binding Cassette Sub-family C Member 5, Multi-specific Organic Anion Transporter C, MOAT-C, pABC11, SMRP, ABCC5) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MRP5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-1:500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MRP5 abcc5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MRP5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
