Rabbit anti-Human MPP1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MPP1 antibody
MPP1 Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(MBS9602158 staining A549 by IF/ICC. The sample were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1/200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) Ab, diluted at 1/600, was used as the secondary antibody.)
Subunit Structure: Oligomerizes (via kinesin motor domain) (PubMed:11470801). Associates with microtubules (PubMed:12740395). Interacts (via C-terminal globular tail region) with PIN1 (via WW domain) (PubMed:11470801). Interacts with PRC1 (PubMed:17409436). Interacts with SHTN1 (via N-terminus); the interaction is direct and promotes the association of SHTN1 to microtubules in primary neurons.
Post-translational Modifications: Phosphorylated during mitosis by CDK1 (PubMed:11470801, PubMed:12740395).
Similarity: Belongs to the TRAFAC class myosin-kinesin ATPase superfamily. Kinesin family.

Uniprot Description
Plus-end-directed motor enzyme that is required for completion of cytokinesis (PubMed:11470801, PubMed:12740395). Required for proper midbody organization and abscission in polarized cortical stem cells. Plays a role in the regulation of neuronal polarization by mediating the transport of specific cargos. Participates in the mobilization of SHTN1 and in the accumulation of PIP3 in the growth cone of primary hippocampal neurons in a tubulin and actin-dependent manner. In the developing telencephalon, cooperates with SHTN1 to promote both the transition from the multipolar to the bipolar stage and the radial migration of cortical neurons from the ventricular zone toward the superficial layer of the neocortex. Involved in cerebral cortex growth (). Acts as an oncogene for promoting bladder cancer cells proliferation, apoptosis inhibition and carcinogenic progression (PubMed:17409436).

Product Notes
The MPP1 kif20b (Catalog #AAA9602158) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MPP1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MPP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:1000 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MPP1 kif20b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MPP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
