Rabbit Mnk1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MKNK1 antibody
Mnk1 Antibody (Ab-385)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of lysates from MCF-7,HepG2 cell line (from left to right),using Mnk1 Antibody (Ab-385)(B8376). B8376 was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:5000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.Lysates at 35ug per lane.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of extracts from, K562 cells (Lane 1) and Jurket cells (Lane 2), using Mnk1 (Ab-385) Antibody. The lane on the left is treated with systhesized peptide.)

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a Ser/Thr protein kinase that interacts with, and is activated by ERK1 and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases, and thus may play a role in the response to environmental stress and cytokines. This kinase may also regulate transcription by phosphorylating eIF4E via interaction with the C-terminal region of eIF4G. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been noted for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]
Uniprot Description
Mnk1: a CAM kinase of the MAPKKAPK family that can regulate translation. Following activation by MAP kinases, Mnk1 phosphorylates eIF4E at Ser209, increasing its affinity for the 7-methylguanosine-containing mRNA cap. Two MAPK phosphorylation sites in mouse Mnk1 (Thr197 and Thr202) are essential for its kinase activity. Three alternatively spliced human isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The MKNK1 mknk1 (Catalog #AAA9214485) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 365-395. The Mnk1 Antibody (Ab-385) reacts with Human, mouse, rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Mnk1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~ 1:250-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MKNK1 mknk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Mnk1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
