Related Product Information for anti-MKP-4 antibody
The dual specificity phosphatase 9 encoded by DUSP9 is a member of the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily. These phosphatases inactivate their target kinases by dephosphorylating both the phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues. They negatively regulate members of the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase superfamily (MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, p38), which is associated with cellular proliferation and differentiation. Different members of the family of dual specificity phosphatases show distinct substrate specificities for various MAP kinases, different tissue distribution and subcellular localization, and different modes of inducibility of their expression by extracellular stimuli. This gene product shows selectivity for members of the ERK family of MAP kinases and is localized to the cytoplasm and nucleus. Aberrant expression of this gene is associated with type 2 diabetes and cancer progression in several cell types. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Uniprot Description

DUSP9: a member of the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily. These phosphatases inactivate their target kinases by dephosphorylating both the phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues. They negatively regulate members of the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase superfamily (ERK, JNK, p38). Shows selectivity for members of the ERK family, is expressed at high levels in placenta, kidney, and fetal liver, and is localized to the cytoplasm and nucleus.

Product Notes

The MKP-4 dusp9 (Catalog #AAA9704677) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MKP-4 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MKP-4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:100-1:300 IF: 1:200-1:1000 ELISA: 1:20000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MKP-4 dusp9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MKP-4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
