Rabbit anti-Human MAFK Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MAFK antibody
MAFK, CT (v-Maf Musculoaponeurotic Fibrosarcoma Oncogene Homolog K (Avian), MAFK Protein, FLJ32205, MGC71717, NFE2U, P18) (PE)
FLISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-1:500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
Western Blot (WB)
(The anti-SEPT9 Pab is used in Western blot to detect SEPT9 in Jurkat cell lysate.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(SEPT9 Antibody (A555) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded kidney tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of SEPT9 Antibody (A555) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(SEPT9 Antibody (A555) flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is a member of the septin family involved in cytokinesis and cell cycle control. This gene is a candidate for the ovarian tumor suppressor gene. Mutations in this gene cause hereditary neuralgic amyotrophy, also known as neuritis with brachial predilection. A chromosomal translocation involving this gene on chromosome 17 and the MLL gene on chromosome 11 results in acute myelomonocytic leukemia. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
Uniprot Description
Filament-forming cytoskeletal GTPase (). May play a role in cytokinesis (Potential). May play a role in the internalization of 2 intracellular microbial pathogens, Listeria monocytogenes and Shigella flexneri.

Product Notes
The MAFK sept9 (Catalog #AAA6486175) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MAFK, CT (v-Maf Musculoaponeurotic Fibrosarcoma Oncogene Homolog K (Avian), MAFK Protein, FLJ32205, MGC71717, NFE2U, P18) (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MAFK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAFK sept9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAFK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
