Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse MAF1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MAF1 antibody
MAF1, ID (MAF1, Repressor of RNA polymerase III transcription MAF1 homolog) (APC)
FLISA: 1:1,000
IHC: 1:50-100
WB: 1:100-500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(MAF1 Antibody (Center) western blot analysis in mouse Neuro-2a cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the MAF1 antibody detected the MAF1 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(MAF1 antibody (Center) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human lung carcinoma followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the MAF1 antibody (Center) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(MAF1 Antibody (Center) flow cytometric analysis of Neuro-2a cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that is similar to Maf1, a Saccharomyces cerevisiae protein highly conserved in eukaryotic cells. Yeast Maf1 is a negative effector of RNA polymerase III (Pol III). It responds to changes in the cellular environment and represses pol III transcription. Biochemical studies identified the initiation factor TFIIIB as a target for Maf1-dependent repression. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
MAF1: Element of the mTORC1 signaling pathway that acts as a mediator of diverse signals and that represses RNA polymerase III transcription. Inhibits the de novo assembly of TFIIIB onto DNA. Belongs to the MAF1 family.
Protein type: Transcription regulation
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q24.3
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; centrosome; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; axon; dendrite; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; nucleolus; intracellular; cytosol; nucleus
Biological Process: transcription, DNA-dependent; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase III promoter

Product Notes
The MAF1 maf1 (Catalog #AAA6317946) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MAF1, ID (MAF1, Repressor of RNA polymerase III transcription MAF1 homolog) (APC) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MAF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FLISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 FLISA: 1:1,000 IHC: 1:50-100 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAF1 maf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAF1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
