NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation complex I (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide: ubiquinone oxidoreductase). Complex I is localized to the inner mitochondrial membrane and functions to dehydrogenate nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and to shuttle electrons to coenzyme Q. Complex I deficiency is the most common defect found in oxidative phosphorylation disorders and results in a range of conditions, including lethal neonatal disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, liver disease, and adult-onset neurodegenerative disorders. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes five, seven and eight. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]
Uniprot Description
NDUFB9: Accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), that is believed to be not involved in catalysis. Complex I functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone. Belongs to the complex I LYR family.
Protein type: Mitochondrial; EC 1.6.5.3; Oxidoreductase; Energy Metabolism - oxidative phosphorylation; EC 1.6.99.3
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q13.3
Cellular Component: mitochondrion; mitochondrial inner membrane; mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I
Molecular Function: NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) activity
Biological Process: cellular metabolic process; sensory perception of sound; mitochondrial electron transport, NADH to ubiquinone
Disease: Mitochondrial Complex I Deficiency

Product Notes
The NDUFB9 ndufb9 (Catalog #AAA150080) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LYRM3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LYRM3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). LYRM3 antibody can be used for detection of LYRM3 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 5 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NDUFB9 ndufb9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LYRM3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
