Related Product Information for anti-LPAR2 antibody
This gene encodes a member of family I of the G protein-coupled receptors, as well as the EDG family of proteins. This protein functions as a lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) receptor and contributes to Ca2+ mobilization, a critical cellular response to LPA in cells, through association with Gi and Gq proteins. An alternative splice variant has been described but its full length sequence has not been determined.

Uniprot Description

EDG4: Receptor for lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a mediator of diverse cellular activities. Seems to be coupled to the G(i)/G(o), G(12)/G(13), and G(q) families of heteromeric G proteins. Plays a key role in phospholipase C-beta (PLC-beta) signaling pathway. Stimulates phospholipase C (PLC) activity in a manner that is independent of RALA activation. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, multi-pass

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p12

Cellular Component: cell surface; integral to plasma membrane; endocytic vesicle; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; protein binding; lipid binding; PDZ domain binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; phospholipase C activation; activation of MAPK activity; positive regulation of Rho protein signal transduction

Product Notes

The LPAR2 lpar2 (Catalog #AAA3221888) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LPAR2 Antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LPAR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LPAR2 lpar2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: NSGKELSSHW RPKDVVVVAL GLTVSVLVLL TNLLVIAAIA SNRRFHQPIY. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LPAR2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
