Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Store at 4 degree C for frequent use.Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. Note: As fluorescence can photobleach when exposed to light, so the antibody must be protected from light.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene has substantial phospholipase activity and may be involved in lipoprotein metabolism and vascular biology. This protein is designated a member of the TG lipase family by its sequence and characteristic lid region which provides substrate specificity for enzymes of the TG lipase family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

LIPG: Has phospholipase and triglyceride lipase activities. Hydrolyzes high density lipoproteins (HDL) more efficiently than other lipoproteins. Binds heparin. Belongs to the AB hydrolase superfamily. Lipase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Secreted; Phospholipase; EC 3.1.1.3; Secreted, signal peptide; Lipid Metabolism - glycerolipid

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 18q21.1

Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; extracellular space; cell surface; early endosome

Molecular Function: heparin binding; lipoprotein lipase activity; phospholipase A1 activity; phospholipase activity

Biological Process: cell proliferation; cholesterol homeostasis; reverse cholesterol transport; phospholipid catabolic process; regulation of lipoprotein metabolic process; lipid metabolic process; positive regulation of cholesterol transport; response to nutrient; phospholipid homeostasis

Product Notes

The LIPG lipg (Catalog #AAA2013720) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FITC-linked Antibody to Lipase, Endothelial (LIPG) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Lipase, Endothelial (LIPG) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB; ICC; IHC-P; IHC-F; ELISA, Flow Cyt. Western blotting: 0.5-2ug/ml Immunocytochemistry in formalin fixed cells: 5-20ug/ml Immunohistochemistry in formalin fixed frozen section: 5-20ug/ml Immunohistochemistry in paraffin section: 5-20ug/ml Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay: 0.05-2ug/ml Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user. . Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LIPG lipg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lipase, Endothelial (LIPG), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
