Testing Data
(All lanes: MBS645107 (1:1000) Lane 1: C6 whole cell lysate Lane 2: U-87 MG whole cell lysate Lysates/proteins at 20ug/lane. Secondary IgG, (H+L) (HRP) goat anti-rabbit, at 1:10,000. Predicted band size: 27kD. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in U-87 MG whole cell lysate (20ug) using MBS645107 (1:2000). Secondary IgG, (H+L) (HRP) goat anti-rabbit at 1:10,000. Predicted band size: 27kD. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in WiDr cell line lysates (35ug/lane) using MBS645107. This demonstrates that MBS645107 detected the KLF9 protein (arrow).)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Fluorescent confocal image of U251 cell stained with MBS645107. U251 cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20mins), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10mins), then incubated with MBS645107 (1:25, 1hr at 37ºC). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor® 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50mins at 37ºC). Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor® 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1hr at 37ºC). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue) (10 µg/ml, 10 min). KLF9 immunoreactivity is localized to vesicles and Nucleus significantly.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcription factor that binds to GC box elements located in the promoter. Binding of the encoded protein to a single GC box inhibits mRNA expression while binding to tandemly repeated GC box elements activates transcription. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
KLF9: Transcription factor that binds to GC box promoter elements. Selectively activates mRNA synthesis from genes containing tandem repeats of GC boxes but represses genes with a single GC box. Belongs to the Sp1 C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family.
Protein type: C2H2-type zinc finger protein; DNA-binding
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q13
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; nucleus
Molecular Function: DNA binding; metal ion binding; transcription factor activity
Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; circadian rhythm; progesterone receptor signaling pathway; transcription, DNA-dependent; embryo implantation

Product Notes
The KLF9 klf9 (Catalog #AAA645107) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KLF9, NT (KLF9, BTEB, BTEB1, Krueppel-like factor 9, GC-box-binding protein 1, Basic transcription element-binding protein 1, Transcription factor BTEB1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KLF9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KLF9 klf9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KLF9, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
