KBTBD13 Antibody, HCG_1645727 Antibody, NEM6 Antibody, HCG1645727 Antibody Description: The gene belongs to a family of genes encoding proteins containing a BTB domain and several kelch repeats. The BTB domain functions as a protein-protein interaction module, which includes an ability to self-associate or to interact with non-BTB domain-containing proteins. The kelch motif typically occurs in groups of five to seven repeats, and has been found in proteins with diverse functions.

NCBI Description

The gene belongs to a family of genes encoding proteins containing a BTB domain and several kelch repeats. The BTB domain functions as a protein-protein interaction module, which includes an ability to self-associate or to interact with non-BTB domain-containing proteins. The kelch motif typically occurs in groups of five to seven repeats, and has been found in proteins with diverse functions. Known functions of these family members include transcription regulation, ion channel tetramerization and gating, protein ubiquitination or degradation, and cytoskeleton regulation. The exact function of this family member has yet to be determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010]

Uniprot Description

KBTBD13: Substrate-specific adapter of a BCR (BTB-CUL3-RBX1) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. Defects in KBTBD13 are the cause of nemaline myopathy type 6 (NEM6). A form of nemaline myopathy characterized by childhood onset of slowly progressive proximal muscle weakness, exercise intolerance, and slow movements with stiff muscles. Patients are unable to run or correct themselves from falling over.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q22.31

Cellular Component: cytoplasm

Molecular Function: ubiquitin-protein ligase activity

Biological Process: protein ubiquitination

Disease: Nemaline Myopathy 6

Product Notes

The KBTBD13 kbtbd13 (Catalog #AAA2400088) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-KBTBD13 Antibody (aa416-446) IHC-plus reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KBTBD13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). IHC-P (1:100) WB (1:1000). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KBTBD13 kbtbd13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KBTBD13, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
