Related Product Information for anti-KAT5 antibody
KAT5 Antibody: KAT5 belongs to the MYST family of histone acetyl transferases (HATs) and was originally isolated as an HIV-1 TAT-interactive protein. HATs play important roles in regulating chromatin remodeling, transcription and other nuclear processes by acetylating histone and non-histone proteins. KAT5 has been shown to play a role in DNA repair and apoptosis and is thought to play an important role in signal transduction and autophagy.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the MYST family of histone acetyl transferases (HATs) and was originally isolated as an HIV-1 TAT-interactive protein. HATs play important roles in regulating chromatin remodeling, transcription and other nuclear processes by acetylating histone and nonhistone proteins. This protein is a histone acetylase that has a role in DNA repair and apoptosis and is thought to play an important role in signal transduction. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Tip60: a histone acetyl transferase (HAT) of the MYST family. Originally isolated as an HIV-1 TAT-interactive protein. Plays an important role in regulating chromatin remodeling, transcription and other nuclear processes by acetylating nuclear proteins. Plays a role in DNA repair and apoptosis. Three splice variants have been described.

Product Notes

The KAT5 kat5 (Catalog #AAA153606) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KAT5 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KAT5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). KAT5 antibody can be used for detection of KAT5 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KAT5 kat5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KAT5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
