Rabbit anti-Human JIK Polyclonal Antibody | anti-JIK antibody
JIK, CT (JNK/SAPK-inhibitory Kinase, Jun Kinase Inhibitory Kinase, Cutaneous T-cell Lymphoma-associated Antigen HD-CL-09, CTCL-associated Antigen HD-CL-09, Dendritic Cell-derived Protein Kinase, DPK, KDS, Kinase from Chicken Homolog A, hKFC-A, MAP3K18, Se
ELISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:50-1:100
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of TAOK3 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal TAOK3 Antibody (C-term). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the TAOK3 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with TAOK3 antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
TAO3: Serine/threonine-protein kinase that acts as a regulator of the p38/MAPK14 stress-activated MAPK cascade and of the MAPK8/JNK cascade. Acts as an activator of the p38/MAPK14 stress- activated MAPK cascade. In response to DNA damage, involved in the G2/M transition DNA damage checkpoint by activating the p38/MAPK14 stress-activated MAPK cascade, probably by mediating phosphorylation of upstream MAP2K3 and MAP2K6 kinases. Inhibits basal activity of MAPK8/JNK cascade and diminishes its activation in response epidermal growth factor (EGF). Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family. STE20 subfamily.
Protein type: Protein kinase, STE; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Kinase, protein; EC 2.7.11.1; STE group; STE20 family; TAO subfamily
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: transferase activity; protein serine/threonine kinase activity; protein binding; protein kinase inhibitor activity; MAP kinase kinase kinase activity; ATP binding
Biological Process: negative regulation of JNK cascade; positive regulation of JNK activity; activation of MAPKK activity; protein amino acid autophosphorylation; mitotic cell cycle G2/M transition DNA damage checkpoint; MAPKKK cascade; negative regulation of protein kinase activity; positive regulation of JNK cascade; DNA repair; response to DNA damage stimulus; protein amino acid phosphorylation; positive regulation of stress-activated MAPK cascade

Product Notes
The JIK taok3 (Catalog #AAA6483735) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The JIK, CT (JNK/SAPK-inhibitory Kinase, Jun Kinase Inhibitory Kinase, Cutaneous T-cell Lymphoma-associated Antigen HD-CL-09, CTCL-associated Antigen HD-CL-09, Dendritic Cell-derived Protein Kinase, DPK, KDS, Kinase from Chicken Homolog A, hKFC-A, MAP3K18, Se reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's JIK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-1:50 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-1:100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the JIK taok3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "JIK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
